The project Support to the Integration of Ukraine in the TEN-T awarded the Michael of Kent prize
The project Support to the Integration of Ukraine in the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) by EU and Odesa Regional Council has been awarded the prestige prize of Prince Michael of Kent, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.

According to the information, in 2011 in the Odesa region several phases of the project on road safety under the slogans «Slow down!» and «Buckle up!» were implemented.
The most interesting projects were awarded at an international forum in St. Petersburg «Safe Roads for All», held in the framework of the UN Decade of Action for Road Safety (2011-2020). A new report has been submitted to the Commission for Global Road Safety, which includes guidelines for working with car manufacturers and the automobile industry. Such issues as the creation of a safe road infrastructure, the need for crash testing and introduction of new vehicle safety technologies, the need of ensuring the safety of pedestrians, etc. were discussed. The Example of cooperation became the joint project of the Odesa Regional Council and the TEN-T.
The deputy chairman of the Odesa Regional Council Oleksiy Goncharenko met with a member of the British royal family Michael of Kent (cousin of Queen Elizabeth and the well-known public figure).
