Moldovan prosecution signs cooperation agreement with Legal Resources Centre
The Prosecutor’s General Office and representatives of the Centre for Legal Resources in Moldova (CRJM) on June 10 signed a cooperation agreement. The document will facilitate meeting the goals of a project focused on the CRJM’s contribution to implementing the strategy on justice reform: pillars I and II, financially supported by the US Embassy in Moldova.
Prosecutor General Corneliu Gurin said that the actions were meant to reform, optimize and make efficient the activity of the prosecution’s subdivisions, as well as to ensure re-establishing the public confidence in the activity of the prosecution and of the prosecutors.
Due to this document, it will be supported the implementation of the specific document on intervention of the strategy focused on justice sector reform – assessing and determining needs of staff of the prosecutor’s office, optimizing number of prosecutors and of auxiliary staff.
CRJM executive director Vladislav Gribincea noted that the set activities were to present an external vision on some aspects of the prosecution structure and the employees’ activity, which would be based on the best international experiences and would be completed with necessary recommendations in the field.
