FM Kozhara, Azerbaijani leader discuss settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict
OSCE-Chairman-in-Office, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara during his visit to Azerbaijan discussed with President Ilham Aliyev the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the Foreign Ministry's press office said in a statement Monday.
"During the meeting the sides discussed issues of further cooperation between the OSCE and Azerbaijan, ways to enhance the negotiation process in the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict," the report reads.
Kozhara informed the President of Azerbaijan on the efforts of the Ukrainian Chairmanship of the OSCE on the promotion of the peaceful solution to this protracted conflict in the OSCE area.
Also, the sides noted the high level of Ukrainian-Azerbaijani relations of strategic nature, and exchanged views on promising areas of cooperation between the two countries.
Particular attention was paid to the cooperation in the energy, transportation, construction, aerospace and commercial sectors. The sides also reaffirmed their readiness to hold in Kyiv this autumn, on the eve of the official visit of President of Azerbaijan to Ukraine, a regular (10th) meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation between Ukraine and Azerbaijan.
